Gift Aid
- If you are a UK taxpayer, you can declare that all your donations should be treated as Gift Aid donations. Doing so maximises your gift, because we can reclaim 25p for every £1 you donate, at no further cost to you. Both single and regular gifts can be made tax-efficiently in the UK.
Higher and Additional Rate Tax
- If you are a higher rate (40%) or additional rate (45%) taxpayer, you can claim the difference between basic rate tax and higher or additional rate tax back from HMRC.

USA
As a US taxpayer, it is possible to make a tax-efficient gift to Harris Manchester online via Americans for Oxford (AFO), a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organisation (recognised by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service) which seeks gifts to benefit the University and its colleges.

If you are a European resident, you may be able to maximise your gift to Harris Manchester through Transnational Giving Europe (TGE).
This is a collaborative giving scheme offered by a partnership of European foundations. It enables donors (both corporations and individuals) resident in one of the participating countries to offer financial support to non-profit organisations in other member countries. Beneficiaries benefit directly from the tax advantages provided for in the legislation of their country of residence.

Switzerland
The University of Oxford offers Swiss residents the option of tax efficient giving via The Swiss Friends of Oxford University. Canada
You can make a tax efficient gift to Harris Manchester College through the University of Oxford, which is recognised by the Canadian Revenue Agency as a prescribed institution under Section 3503 of the Canadian Income Tax Regulations. China
You can make a tax-efficient gift to China and Hong Kong through the University of Oxford's China Office, which is set up as a charity in Hong Kong under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. If you are a taxpayer in Hong Kong, the Office will make sure that your gift gets to Harris Manchester College and also issue you with a tax receipt.
